Nevada is known as the Silver State. The nickname was easily earn from the silver rush of the 19th century where silver was literally shoveled off the ground there.

  1. I’d love to find a shovelful of silver on the ground when visiting Nevada. Usually I leave a pile of silver behind ~ LOL!
