Fun Fact: Nullification Crisis

The Nullification Crisis was an event during the presidency of Andrew Jackson. Tariffs enacted after the War of 1812 were unpopular in the South and South Carolina felt betrayed by Jackson who didn’t change them. They attempted to make the tariffs null and void until both sides compromised.
