During my stay in Northwest North Carolina, we stayed at the Azalea Inn in Banner Elk, North Carolina. It’s actually the first bed-and-breakfast I’ve ever stayed at.
But our suite was in a separate building. There is an upstairs that has an entrance on the opposite side. Saturday night I could hear the guests upstairs. I do wish we had a little bit better noise cancellation on that.
The king sized bed was super comfortable.
The little kitchen area had about the standard quo you see in any hotel. The first morning we had a voucher for brunch at a nearby restaurant. The last morning they had breakfast offered in the main building. I preferred the brunch at the restaurant.
The bathroom was nice and clean and everything worked. Hot water was always in a good supply.
The main reason I picked this suite was for the tub. It had the Jacuzzi jets and everything. It definitely didn’t disappoint. They also have a standup shower as well that you can see at the very far right of the photo.
I really enjoyed the fireplace, the first electric one I’ve ever dealt with. Very easy to control and does make a room feel very warm especially during these cold months.
My only real complaint was the TV. It had cable channels, but the reception was so fuzzy that I was glad I wasn’t getting more than a few minutes to watch TV during our trip anyway. It would’ve been nice to have high definition and the ability to log into my streaming services.
