During our stay at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, we stayed at the Grande Shores Ocean Resort. I had never been, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect.

It’s not the fanciest place you could ever stay, but it’s definitely on prime real estate. Our room was on the third floor facing the ocean.

The queen beds were OK, nothing to complain or brag about.

The television was rather basic and small. You had a DVD player and basic cable. As far as I could figure out, no access to streaming apps.

You also had a coffee maker.

And a mini fridge, but strangely no microwave.

The bathroom was rather small and basic.

I wasn’t a big fan of the shower, the water pressure was way too weak.

The best thing about the room was the view and the balcony.

Being right on the beach is so convenient.

Even though it was too cold, they do have a large-ish outdoor pool.

And a lazy river pool. I do hear they have a pool on the roof, but I didn’t get a chance to take a look at it. In January, taking a dip in this pool is a test of your sanity.

They do have an indoor pool that’s heated. But they are way too many people using it when we visited.

Little kids do have the option for a tiny pool.

We did get to enjoy their hot tub pool.
I can imagine lots of people wanted to try the indoor pool for sure!(lol) Wow – that television is sort of small and surprising. No fun when the water pressure isn’t working, and sorry that happened. I agree – what a fabulous view! Hugs and Happy New Year! RO
That looks like a great place to stay. Frankly, it looks like the sort of place we stay when we travel. We’ve been in a LOT worse.
Nice location right in front of the sea. But the decor is very drab for a seaside location, they could really do with more bright colours ….and a bigger tv 🙂
Looks decent and sold with the coffee maker haha!
The views are great! I’d love to sit on the balcony with a hot tea late at night and enjoy the sounds of the water before heading to sleep.
