The big bad Sephiroth comes to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in quite an epic fashion. I never played Final Fantasy 7, but I knew a lot of people were wishing for him for a long time. Maybe not as long as Geno, but pretty long. I am surprised they didn’t put him in that PlayStation All-Stars game years ago.
Luckily for him, his buddy Cloud Strife has long since been part of the roster.
He has a lot of sinister moves. One of my favorites is to stick a player with dark orbs they cannot run away from.
I wasn’t a huge fan of his counter move though.
The most satisfying moves are his fireballs. The same move has three different forms. The red goes the farthest in range.
But has the weakest impact.
The blue fireball is definitely the happy medium.
Though it’s something that takes skill to land, you can easily hit a foe if you try it hard enough.
The best one, you have to land very close by and it takes a lot of skill and luck to land it.
Just hope you’re not the unlucky fool who lands in a huge explosion. Because you are going bye-bye.
He’s rather slow and clunky sometimes, but his power is unrivaled.
When Kirby takes his power, he gets a pretty cool haircut.
And the even cooler fireballs.
His final smash is more cinematic. Nothing special besides its attachment to Final Fantasy VII.
He’s not my favorite character in the game, but my favorite DLC fighter except maybe Byleth.
