Justice League vs. the Fatal Five is among the newer DC Comics animated movies. I wasn’t quite sure who the Fatal Five were but that actually is probably a good thing as I wouldn’t come across much deja vu. I always enjoy the better of these animated movies.
The movie starts actually many centuries in the future from the present day. A group of super villains known as the Fatal Five steal a time machine. They want to come to the present for some reason. And you can rest assured that it’s nothing good.
The movie focuses on a new Green Lantern named Jessica Cruz. Before she got her super powerful ring, she was almost murdered and still suffers from PTSD. Which is a reason she has avoided calls from the Justice League to join them.
One hero from the future named Star Boy managed to follow the bad guys to the present. Without medication he has lost most of his memories. But he remembers that in his time, Jessica Cruz had become legendary hero named Limelight. Will see be able to fulfill her destiny in the new timeline?
Justice League vs. the Fatal Five is far from the greatest animated movie based on DC Comics, but it’s a pretty good one. Having so many new characters on the sides of good and evil is a bit refreshing. It is a bit ambitious given its short run time. With more time, this really could have knocked it out the park.
