For most of my years as a kid or even as an adult, I’ve never heard of Solar Jetman: Hunt For the Golden Warship. It must had been one of those NES games that fell under the radar right? Well it fell under the radar for a good reason.

That reason being is that it’s not really a good game. It seems like they were trying to make an arcade game even though this an original NES game. The point of the game is for you to pilot your spaceship and bring back parts and fuel to the spacestation. Sounds easy right? Well no, your rocketship steers as well as an intoxicated driver, and you’ll spend more time hitting walls than anything. Oh and if you pick up these vital items, it gets even harder to pilot your way back.

If you lose your spaceship, you exit out in astronaut gear with a laser handgun at your disposal. I don’t really see the point except for being able to clear out enemies and go back to HQ for a new spacepod to crash again. Many say this game was overlooked and underrated in it’s time, I say it was garbage then and it’s garbage now.
