
While the bald eagle was chosen as the national bird when the United States was mostly now what we call the east coast, you can find bald eagles in every current U.S. state except Hawaii. It can be found in most of North America too. The only places they never visit is Northern Alaska, Northern Canada, and Southern Mexico.
