The Final Straw is a new game show I saw pop up on Hulu but its real channel is ABC. It seemed to me like a much bigger Jenga, which is one of my wife’s favorite games.

And that’s pretty much what the show is. Giant towers are stacked with unique items but it’s really just a fancy game of Jenga.

The winning team gets to do a final challenge alone and it’s really not that interesting. And they stack the odds heavily against their favor so not many are going to walk away with the grand prize or even close to it.

I really wanted to like the show but after trying about two episodes, it was about it as exciting as watching two random people play Jenga. I think it would be neat to be a contestant, but it wasn’t much fun watching it on my couch. It’s slow, boring, and it’s hard to say whether contestants made the right or wrong moves as the tower logic is so random.
