I was talking to one of my customers at work and he mentioned that Password was one of his favorite game shows on TV right now. I vaguely remember the old Password game show and I don’t remember being a big fan of it. And apparently my tastes have not changed at all
It plays virtually the same as the old Password except the set is a lot fancier and everything is in high definition. Two players have celebrity helpers as they try to guess the secret word by giving them just one word to base it off of. Jimmy Fallon is always on every episode, apparently he revived it a little bit on The Tonight Show in the past.
The actual host is Keke Palmer, someone I had never seen in anything. Ironically her sister Loreal Palmer is actually a contestant on Claim To Fame and is still in the running. But she’s not a bad host and she’s got plenty of energy and a very positive attitude.
My main problem with the show is just how it’s played. It’s a very simple game and it’s not very skill based. It is on paper, but when someone wins, it seems to be just plain dumb luck. And I don’t find that fun on game shows.
The only appeal to me are the celebrity guests, but most of whom I’ve seen, I wasn’t super excited to watch. I tried two episodes and I just got too bored.
