Kuvira was the last of the major villains, and my second least favorite of the four. She was a lot better than Korra’s evil uncle but I thought she could have been a better antagonist.

We see her briefly in season 3. She starts out as a respected military commander in the Earth Kingdom. When Zaheer killed the Queen of the Earth Kingdom, she took over for the interim, before a successor could be named.

But instead she names herself as the ruler of the Earth Empire, lol.

She soon finds herself the enemy of Avatar Korra. Kuvira is a talented metal bender and earthbender and manages to defeat Korra in their first fight. Her obsession to kill the Avatar becomes greater with time, so much so that she decides to potentially sacrifice her fiance to put Korra in the ground.

Luckily for her fiance, he survives but he calls off the wedding. Unfortunately, she’s not going to call off all these killer robots.

I will admit her giant robot with the super laser was pretty impressive.

Team Avatar manages to defeat her and she’s ironically saved by Korra herself as the laser energy almost kills her.

Unlike the first two villains of The Legend of Korra, she survives the end of the series. Defeated and ashamed, she’s presumably sent to prison.
