Colin Pitchfork was one of the first men arrested and convicted for a very serious crime based on DNA evidence. He had forced himself upon two girls in separate events, both of which ended up with the teenage girls dead. For the second murder, a innocent man was almost arrested but was cleared thanks to the DNA evidence.
Unfortunately, the British justice system went rather soft on him and he was released on parole in 2021 but was later recalled back to prison.
Thanks goodness for DNA evidence, although it isn’t always persuasive for a jury (O. J. Simpson).

Pfft I sometimes wonder about our system over here….honestly *slaps head*
I like how DNA gets them in the end like with Gary Ridgway. Watched a few shows about that.

Of course they went soft on him. Seems that the horrible offenders get off way easier than small time crooks. He deserved to give his life for the lives he took.
