My wife and I watched this the other night. She actually watched it first without me, but it’s actually pretty good, so she didn’t mind watching it again. It’s longer than a television episode, but definitely shorter than a movie.

The special starts a little after the events of Thor: Love and Thunder. Mantis overheard that Peter Quill was a big fan of Christmas on Earth and wants to bring the holiday to Star Lord.

And let’s just say Kevin Bacon isn’t exactly thrilled for the idea either, lol.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special kind of came out of surprise for me because I don’t remember it being announced until recently. It’s a very good fun story, that probably should have been a little bit longer. But I can’t imagine any fan of the previous two movies hating this special.
