Baby Alexander gave us a scare the other night as he started having a cough that I could only describe as a croaking. We thought he couldn’t breathe but it turned out to be croup. We definitely didn’t want to risk anything, so we called an ambulance ASAP and that was my first trip in one.
But it did made me think long and hard about the pathetic state of the American Health Care system. This year I bought the best insurance I could get and even with our insurance, I’m sure the ambulance bill is not going to be cheap. While croup sounds scary, his oxygen levels actually were surprisingly normal. But if we had been in a situation where he needed desperate medical attention as soon as possible, we shouldn’t have to worry about the cost of his health care.
Glad he is okay. Out health care is utter crap too. People are dying left, right and centre due to it š¦
My daughter has been ill and took her to the doctors today. She has a viral infection and I came home from work tonight and my partner said her ear is sore now. I might need to call them again tomorrow.

It can be scary when they get sick like that. I hope your little guy is feeling much better!
