If you could say Resident Evil had a main character, Chris Redfield would probably be the prime candidate. Ironically, I never play as Chris, but I do enjoy him as a side character.
I’d rather play as Jill Valentine, especially as she has more inventory pockets. Chris Redfield I believe, is supposed to be more durable to zombie attacks. so it wasn’t always an uneven trade off.
When you play as Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield spends most of the story out of the picture. Albert Wesker puts him in jail, instead of just killing him. Resident Evil never has the most logical stories.
But no matter what route you play, they both survive safely.
