Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was a movie I wanted to see last year. I’ve liked best films by Quentin Tarantino, and I was looking forward to this one. Someone I know did not like it at all and that made me fear it a little bit. But I was still going to watch it regardless.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is mainly about two men. One is Rick Dalton, a Hollywood actor whose career has taken a nosedive. Then we have his stunt double Cliff Booth.
Rick Dalton meets a casting agent who offers him some new roles. But they are under the caliber he’s used to. So he has to choose between his pride and new work.
Which means Cliff Booth gets some more free time. He soon runs into some strange folks. Turns out they’re connected to Charles Manson, whom is rather unknown at this point in history. Will Cliff booth survive to see the future?
Overall, I was disappointed in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. It’s a much different film for Quentin Tarantino, but I was rather bored with the film’s story. Though they seemed to create 1970s Hollywood pretty well, and the final scene was pretty brilliant.
