Like his younger brother Vladimir Lenin, Aleksandr Ulyanov was also a revolutionary in the Russian Empire. He attempted and failed to assassinate Tsar Alexander III, for which he was hanged. While his brother was deeply into the communist cause at the time, his brother’s death enraged him and he vowed to get revenge.
