When people hear of mammoths, most usually think of the wooly mammoths which walked around the more arctic areas of the world. However there were many other mammoths around including the steppe mammoth of Eurasia which was about 13 ft. tall. It may be perhaps the biggest member of the Proboscidea family of animals to have ever lived.
