Fun facts about elephants

The English word elephant is ultimately derived (though it went through Old French and Latin) from the Greek word elephas which meant “ivory”.

    Interesting. I’m glad that a lot of the Ivory trade here in the US has been halted. Killing those animals for their tusks was terrible.
