Christopher Columbus introduced horses to the Americas from Europe which were non-existent before European contact. Horses ironically evolved either in or near North America (around present day Alaska and Canada), but all remaining sub-species that didn’t migrate had died out thousands of years before Columbus landed in the Americas.
