Death is often a recurring boss in the Castlevania series. He has very little worries about fighting the son of Dracula.

His first form is pretty standard quo for him. But not terribly hard to defeat either.

Then he changes into a more monstrous form and you definitely have to try to defeat him.

But I don’t remember having that much trouble against him. I always laugh a little when I defeat him in Castlevania, because I “killed” Death.
