William Henry Rankin was a World War II and Korean War veteran. When flying around the United States, his planes engine stopped working and he was forced to eject. He had to survive being inside of thundercloud with extreme temperatures and various things hurting his body. He is one out of only two people known to have survived such an ordeal.
