My wife and I got married in late December of 2021, but we decided to spend our anniversary celebration in early January to avoid conflicts with Christmas. We spent the weekend in Atlanta and stayed at the giant Westin Hotel in heart of downtown.
It is a legitimately huge skyscraper and one of the tallest buildings in Atlanta. It is apparently the third tallest hotel in the United States with 72 floors and over a thousand rooms.
It’s a nice hotel but they do try to nickel and damn you for everything. I’m not a big fan of heights and I wasn’t super comfortable sleeping in such a tall hotel out of paranoia. I booked it because of location and price without realizing exactly which hotel I booked. Next time we go to Atlanta, I’m definitely not staying here again. But I will say that the view from the 55th floor was pretty spectacular.
So pleased you were able to get away to celebrate your anniversary.
