Nute Gunray was the public leader of the Trade Federation during the Star Wars prequel movies. I always thought he was kind of goofy looking and a lot of his motives didn’t really make a lot of sense.

Such as why the Trade Federation ever had so much of a problem with the Old Republic. He had no issue at all (along with his alien buddy) with working with Darth Sidious.

That boy sure did hate Queen Amidala, LOL.

After his plans in Naboo go south, he makes a quick ally of Count Dooku who is the new apprentice for Darth Sidious. Only Count Dooku knew that Darth Sidious was really Supreme Chancellor Palpatine and that the whole Clone Wars was really just a scheme to end the Old Republic and turn it into a new empire.

Not long after Order 66, Anakin Skywalker (under the moniker of Darth Vader) is ordered to kill him by Darth Sidious who did not need him anymore. I’m not exactly saying he didn’t deserve it.
