Things I Like: Obi-Wan Kenobi (Star Wars Prequel Trilogy)

Obi-Wan Kenobi Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones Ewan McGregor

One of the best Jedi to ever exist in the Jedi Order, Ewan McGregor did a fantastic job as Obi-Wan Kenobi. Filling in the big shoes left by Alec Guinness from the original trilogy.

I always enjoyed his relationship with his Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn. If only his relationship with Anakin Skywalker was as strong and stable.

Obi-Wan Kenobi was definitely a very skilled warrior, being able to defeat enemies like Darth Maul. But he could never defeat Count Dooku but he did kill General Grievous.

I’m really surprised he didn’t really connect the dots with the Clone Army literally being set up to exterminate the Jedi. He was wise enough to know many things, but George Lucas definitely had plot holes there.

And unfortunately, he was not able to keep Anakin from going to the dark side.

As he impressively defeated his former Padawan who took the name Darth Vader.

And the prequel trilogy ends with him giving Luke Skywalker to his step family to be raised until he was ready to become a Jedi knight.
