While the boy makes many mistakes throughout the prequel trilogy, it’s hard to hate on Anakin Skywalker as he is obviously the main character.

It was easier to hate on Annie when he was a little twerp that liked to race on a desert planet.

He starts his laser sword career as an honest Jedi, but there are many things that would turn into the dark side. Such as losing his beloved mother.

And forming an attachment with Padme Amidala.

And cementing that by marrying her and getting her pregnant. Boy couldn’t wait for the war to be won to start a family.

And dreaming that she would die in childbirth, he makes the final plunge to the dark side by believing in the hope that Darth Sidious would use hypothetical Sith powers to save her.

And ironically, it just turned out to be him killing her indirectly.

I was a little surprised he lost to Obi-Wan Kenobi, given the fact that he defeated Count Dooku, who easily defeated Obi-Wan. But we all knew that the battle would not end well for the new Darth Vader.

The prequel trilogy ends with him becoming the Darth Vader we all know and feared in the original trilogy.
