Our Stay at Twin Springs Lookout (Mineral Bluff, Georgia)

My wife and I needed a romantic getaway and this previous weekend was that. We technically booked this through Airbnb but I wanted a quiet mountain cabin.

It’s definitely got a gorgeous view, but one thing is it’s not as far away from people as you’d think. There’s two properties nearby and overlook this one, which is a bit lame. They’re not super close but it does kill the vibe a bit.

As you would prefer to have some privacy especially as some of these windows don’t have curtains. A weird neighbor could probably not see you through an unaided eye but definitely with a pair of binoculars.

The whole cabin itself is more like a tiny home. I didn’t have much of a problem with it and the place is up to date technology wise when it comes to the TV and streaming. I did find it odd that they had a large refrigerator but no microwave or traditional oven. It had some kind of cooktop that you could do things with a frying pan and my wife mentioned that she saw an air fryer too. It does perplex me that this place doesn’t have a microwave. It’s not an exactly an easy drive down the mountain to go get food and I highly doubt the pizza man is going to deliver here.

We did enjoy our stay despite me sounding fairly critical. So I’ll end on a high note with the hot tub. Not the best one I’ve ever been in, but it’s comfortable and it works. So it’s hard to complain.
