I don’t think I ever watched the original TV show as a kid, but I do remember the 1990 movies. But it’s been quite some time since I’ve seen them. It’s part of Paramount+ right now and I let my stepdaughter watch it since she’s going to be Wednesday Addams for Halloween.

Raul Julia was such a perfect cast as Gomez Addams. I didn’t know for a long time, but he died shortly after the second movie of fairly bad cancer.

Anjelica Huston was also a very good Morticia, but I could see another actress being able to compete with her in the future, though Catherine Zeta-Jones has not done it in Wednesday on Netflix.

Gomez and Morticia definitely are one of the best romantic couples in all fiction. Absolutely no drama between them, just love and passion.

I forgot how little screen time Christina Ricci had as Wednesday Addams in the first movie.

Both of the Addams kids are little more than side characters in the original movie. But they both play their roles well. Definitely getting more spotlight in the sequel

Christopher Lloyd also was such a great cast as Fester Addams. It will be hard for any actor to top that in my mind.

The original Addams Family movie isn’t the perfect film, but it is a classic for many and one of my personal favorites too.
