The United Fruit Company (now Chiquita) might be a private company, but they had quite a bit of a political influence in Latin America. They have committed many evils including massacring workers who went on strike. They had even convinced the United States to oust the left-leaning president of Guatemala because he was redistributing land they weren’t using but hoarding.
