James “Clubber” Lang was a great villain but he was a big time jerk. I do like Mr. T as a person and I do respect that he did this role with almost no acting experience.

He’s the main antagonist of Rocky III and he shows up rather rudely to challenge Rocky Balboa after the boxing world kind of denies him the chance. But he does genuinely mock Rocky in public and makes a pass at his wife to ensure that Rocky is mad enough to formally challenge him.

I absolutely hated watching that first fight between them because Rocky stood no chance. Rather painful to watch and Mick dies at the end.

But their final fight was pretty good but (not counting the street fighting in Rocky V) I would say it’s my least favorite boxing match of the series, that was a major one.

After his defeat, I don’t believe we hear from him again.
