Augustus Gloop was one of the main kids in the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory movie/book. While I don’t believe Roald Dahl based any part of the story on the seven deadly sins, this kid is definitely in the Sin of Sloth.

He’s one of the “lucky” golden ticket winners. The joke is that he was so fat and obese that he naturally became one of the winners from all the chocolate he ate.

And sure enough, the little German boy could not resist the chocolate river.

And if you don’t know how to swim, you probably don’t know how to swim in chocolate either.

I will say the scene that he gets stuck in the tube is one of the most terrifying moments while watching movies when I was a kid. Even today it looks very Very disturbing.

But don’t worry, he’s totally not dead I think… But if you ever wondered, in the book the pipe had made him extremely underweight as all of the bad kids have some kind of body morphing.
