Things I Hate: Prince Humperdinck (The Princess Bride)

Prince Humperdinck is one of those very unlikable villains. He’s not as powerful or feared as a classic bad guy like Darth Vader. But he’s just a giant douchebag with a big ego and a compass for morality that’s completely broken.

He’s a prince for a fictional kingdom but since his father is old and senile, he’s practically the king. He wants to have a war with some other kingdom and stages an innocent princess to be slaughtered secretly so war can be triggered.

But before he could commit evil in the “honeymoon suite” he was defeated by Westley. Consider that marriage annulled. Also a rare curve ball for him to just be captured, rather than slain.
