Mr. Orange is one of the major characters in Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs. He was my favorite character in the whole movie, despite him technically being the reason everything goes to crap.

He’s supposed to be one of the criminals involved in the diamond heist, but he bonds with Mr. White fairly well—almost like a big brother type of relationship.

When they try to hijack a car from a civilian, he gets shot by her but isn’t fatally wounded. However, I imagine he probably thought he was in serious trouble for doing that—because, in reality, he’s an undercover cop.

His bosses wanted to make sure they got Joe Cabot, the ringleader, so he had to keep up the act for as long as possible. We don’t truly find out he’s a cop until he kills Mr. Blonde for trying to set a kidnapped officer on fire.

Mr. White is the only one who truly believes Mr. Orange isn’t a cop. In the end, he kills Joe Cabot and his son, Eddie, in a Mexican standoff. As Mr. White is dying and Mr. Orange is barely hanging on, he finally confesses to his friend that he really is a cop—just before both of them are killed. Mr. White gives him a mercy kill, but I sometimes wonder if he shot him out of anger.
