Mr. White is one of the major characters in Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs, played absolutely brilliantly by Harvey Keitel.

He’s a criminal and not technically a good person, but out of all his cohorts, he seems to have the strongest moral compass. After all, the diamond store they robbed was insured, and if everything had gone to plan, it would have been a victimless crime—technically.

He’s definitely a tough guy and one of the best marksmen on the team, though his fiery temper sometimes gets the best of him.

During the mission, he bonds really well with Mr. Orange and silently adopts him as a little brother of sorts, which I always thought was kind of sweet.

But when the mission goes to hell and Mr. Blonde is suspiciously killed by Mr. Orange, everyone—except Mr. White—believes that Orange is an undercover cop.

In the chaos, Mr. White kills his boss, Joe, and Joe’s son, Eddie, after Joe shoots Mr. Orange in retaliation. Mr. White is presumably fatally wounded and is ultimately killed by the police after being found with Mr. Orange. It’s such a brilliant movie, but that scene is always heartbreaking to watch.
