Things I Like: Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle (2003 Film)

Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle may not have been as good as the original film, but I still remember liking it a lot back in the day. It also surprises me that they never made this a trilogy, as this was the second and final film of this particular reboot.

All of the lovely ladies are back, and they’re pretty much the same as you remember them from the first movie.

But boy, did Bosley get himself a tan! Wait a minute—that’s not Bill Murray! LOL. They cast Bernie Mac instead and made him some kind of adoptive relative of Bosley, all because Bill Murray can be an absolute a-hole—especially for what he did to Lucy Liu during the filming of the first movie.

Matt LeBlanc Charlie's Angels Full Throttle 2003 movie

I forgot a lot about the movie, like Matt LeBlanc showing up as a minor character. This was pretty much at the peak of Friends, but it was kind of weird seeing Joey Tribbiani in a Charlie’s Angels movie—or any movie, for that matter. TV stars often don’t transition well to the silver screen.

I also forgot that Demi Moore played the villain. This wasn’t too many years before she got into a relationship with Ashton Kutcher, and I’ll admit, I lost a lot of respect for him after their relationship ended.

It makes me wonder why there was never a third Charlie’s Angels movie—but maybe that was for the best. Still, I can only imagine that even a lazy third installment would have been better than the next reboot with Kristen Stewart.
