We stopped by Marino’s in Hendersonville, North Carolina, after coming home from the Polar Express Christmas train experience in Bryson City, North Carolina. I haven’t and didn’t spent much time in Hendersonville, so this was really just a pit stop. It was our first time there, and the place was a little smaller than I had imagined.

It’s a Greek American style pizza place, which isn’t technically my favorite. But we were pretty hungry that afternoon, and the reviews said it was the best pizza in town. The restaurant is mostly self serve, though from the seating you might expect traditional waiters and waitresses. That’s not something I mind. I’d rather get my own drinks and throw away my trash than pay a 20% tip.

The pizza was pretty good, though definitely not my favorite. I’d say the weakest part was the cheese. Still, Alex, Lily, Jessica, and I had no problem eating our slices. My wife Jessica even treated herself and Lily to some cheesecake. That being said, I think I’ll try a different place in Hendersonville the next time we’re in the area. While it was good, it wasn’t so amazing that we wouldn’t want to go anywhere else.
That looks like a massive pizza! Honestly the pizzas over here are so tiny in comparison!

The best pizza in town? I guess there’s not much competition.
