Spring break started a week ago for my kids, and on the very first day we started a long car ride down to Charleston, South Carolina. About halfway there, we stopped at the Columbiana Centre Mall, mainly to eat. But the kids obviously wanted to play on the playground, especially Alexander.

It’s not a huge indoor playground, but there are better and worse ones I’ve seen in various malls around the SC, NC, and GA area. My wife went to a clothing store to shop and took forever, and Alex never really grew bored during his extended time there.

My stepdaughter Lily, on the other hand, realized it’s not quite as fun when you’re tall. She was technically much taller than the recommended age, so I wasn’t entirely shocked by her reaction. The kids had a decent time, though, and I just enjoyed the comfortable seat since I was feeling a bit tired from packing everything into the car before we left the house.
