While well known for his disappearance and rescue in Africa, David Livingstone was a Protestant missionary. Some have dubbed him Africa’s greatest missionary, ironically he had only converted one person.

I always hear his name but don’t really know much about him.
I grew up in the 1950s and had Baptist missionaries in my background. I always thought of David Livingstone as an explorer and Albert Schweitzer as the great missionary of Africa. Regardless, both were fascinating characters.
