Katara was one of my favorite characters on Avatar: The Last Airbender on Nickelodeon. She was the last water bender of the southern water tribe.

She and her brother Sokka found Aang in the iceberg and soon their long adventure began.

Once she mastered water bending, she became a great teacher to Aang.

I do think they made the cutest couple, though I thought she played too many games with him and his heart.

She also learned the secret art of blood bending which was pretty cool.

I was really proud of how she managed to defeat Princess Azula at the very end of the series. To be honest, water benders should have a clear advantage over fire benders.
