Basque is a language of roughly 1,000,000 speakers in present day Spain and France. It is an isolated language, as it’s not related to any living language in the world.

    I have a good friend Elena, that I met through blogging. Well we visited her last year and she is northern Spain and speaks Basque. It is a wonderful place Basque Country. Can you believe we drove from Central Scotland to England then a ferry then all through France to get to Spain and with a 7 month old baby!
