Joseph Coulombe founded the grocery store chain Trader Joe’s in the year 1967. Before his retirement he sold it to a German entrepreneur who owned half of Audi which operates separately from his brother’s Aldi stores. Trader Joe’s and Aldi in the United States are separate entities.
I have once read about the Aldi brother’s separate businesses. Trader Joe’s must have made a load of money when Aldi bought it.
