Out of the three actors who have been Spider-Man in major films, Andrew Garfield was my least favorite. But I still liked him and I think he did a good job. His origin story is the same blah-blah-blah as you’d expect.
As Spider-Man, he certainly was more comical than Tobey Maguire’s version, but in a good way.
I really liked his relationship with Gwen Stacy. I guess it helped that Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone were a real couple during those movies anyway.
I guess I liked his fight against The Lizard the most.
Electro was too terrible of a bad guy to like the fight much.
And the Green Goblin wasn’t much better.
And like we all expected, Peter Parker lost Gwen Stacy due to a tragic fall to the ground. Such a shame that it ended there, as the MCU version of Spider-Man pretty much ended the Marc Webb era of films. But since the 2nd one was horrid for Marvel standards, I’m not counting it as a loss.
