Spider-Man had been my favorite superhero since I was a kid, and I really liked Tobey Maguire’s portrayal of him. This was the first time Spider-Man was made into a major movie, so Maguire had a lot to live up to, but he always seemed like a good fit. He certainly captured Peter Parker’s geeky nature before he gets bit and acquires super-powers.

Then he becomes strong and without the need for glasses. I thought they showed his powers pretty well. I like when superhero movies show how their powers work on regular humans.

Despite being afraid, he took care of Bonesaw, a professional wrestler pretty easy.

But soon after his Uncle Ben gets shot, and it was somewhat his fault. That stings.

I liked his relationship with Mary Jane Watson throughout all three films. A lot of mystery, saving, and pain for them both.

I think my favorite villain for him to fight was Green Goblin. I think the personal-factor made it all the better. Though I do think Spider-Man 2 was the better movie overall.

I always felt bad for Peter when it came to jobs and getting his rent taken care of. No Tony Starks to bail this guy out.

But like most versions of Spider-Man, you could see this Peter Parker would always do the right thing, even when it meant his own doom.

Until an evil alien bonds to him and turns him emo. I really didn’t like Venom-Peter Parker.

But I did like his post-rejection and his fight with Eddie Brock’s Venom incarnation.
I really liked this trilogy. I thought Tobey did a great job, but my fave Spiderman is Andrew Garfield:D
