While some Dr. Seuss movies flopped when it came to the story-lines (after-all they’re based on short children’s books), I thought The Grinch movie was pretty good.

They did this mainly by expanding and deepening the characters and their back-stories. I thought Jim Carrey played a great Grinch.

I also liked how they gave Whoville a more human feel to their citizens.

Even though the TV special is “better”, I still think this film was a pretty good movie for Christmas.
