Such a good movie, I didn’t really hear about it until it came out on DVD.

Harvey Milk was the first openly gay politician in American history. He had some low level office in the city of San Fransisco, but he was way ahead of his time.

The movie goes deep into Harvey Milk’s life, from his early adulthood, to his later life with all his personal relationships involved.

The movie also taps into a lot of the hate Harvey Milk got as a person. Homophobia is very deeply displayed historically and so are the lives of gay rights activists. It also shows the tragic fate of Harvey Milk.
