Emperor Julian was the last pagan Emperor of the Roman Empire. He restored Roman paganism as the state religion from Christianity as he was deeply concerned that the old religion was the only way to restore Rome’s former glory. The Roman Empire fell 104 years after his death. The Eastern Half of the Empire remained as the Byzantine Empire.
