Like many species of bees, Japanese honeybees must worry about attacks from hornets. When a hornet scout enters a hive, a mob of bees will form a ball around the hornet and move around so much that it causes the hornet to be almost powerless and also causes the temperature to rise so much that the hornet cannot tolerate it.
