It’s not uncommon for cartoon characters to be animated with four fingers on each hand instead of five. Japan tries to add an extra finger as Yakuza gang members often sacrifice a finger in a ritual. However adding the extra finger can be quite costly and doesn’t always happen when aired in the land of the rising sun.
