I actually remember watching Clue on Comedy Central many moons ago.
For those who don’t know, Clue is based on the popular board game of the same name. All six guests (e.g. Colonel Mustard, Professor Plum, Mr. Green, etc) are invited for dinner at a big mansion. During the evening they all learn that they’re all connected to a single man who’s using their secrets for his unfair advantage.
During the confrontation, the lights go out and Mr. Boddy ends up dead. The mystery mixed with even more strange events cause mass hysteria among the guests. So they pair up in teams to search the manor for clues. Knowing full-well that the killer is in their ranks somewhere.
Years ago I thought Clue was a brilliant movie, and I still think so. I didn’t find it as clever or funny this time around because I started to recall some of it’s best material. But Tim Curry steals the show as Wadsworth, the humble butler. And the twist endings, those are incredible.
