General iroh is the grandson of Fire Lord Zuko and named after his great great uncle. He’s the son of Fire Lord Izumi but it’s not clear if he has any other siblings ahead of him in succession. General Iroh was one of my favorite minor characters on the Legend of Korra.

While he’s technically a Prince of the Fire Nation, he directly works for Republic City and uses his fleet to protect it. Surprisingly, Amon gets the upper hand on his navy and he gets captured, but soon freed.

While he may not be as powerful as some of the people in his lineage, he’s an excellent firebender and really helps save the day when Korra needed extra help.
